The Detroit Lions and Philadelphia Eagles were the two best teams in the NFC last season and they’re among the best teams in the conference this year. Detroit comes in at 6-3 off the back of a thorough beatdown of the Washington Commanders, while the Super Bowl champion Eagles won a barely watchable 10-7 slog over the Green Bay Packers. At 7-2, Philadelphia’s point differential is only +26, so they’ve been winning close all year. The Lions offense hasn’t been as crisp as in recent seasons, yet they still entered Week 11 as the highest scoring team in the NFC.
The Seattle Seahawks play neither of these teams in the regular season, but should Seattle reach the postseason as expected, it’s very likely the ‘Hawks will play one of these two teams. In the context of the playoff race, we might prefer a Lions win just so the Eagles have an additional conference loss.
