Pride of Detroit Pride of Detroit

The Detroit Lions (7-5) and Dallas Cowboys (6-5-1) were back on the practice field on Tuesday as they prepare for their Week 14 showdown on “Thursday Night Football.”

Let’s take a look at the latest injury report and get you up to date with what we know. Note: Any changes from the last injury report will be bolded.

NOTE: Terrion Arnold (shoulder) has been removed from the injury report and placed on injured reserve. After requiring shoulder surgery, his season is over.

No practice

  • WR Amon-Ra St. Brown (ankle)
  • WR Kalif Raymond (ankle) — Not expected to play in Week 14
  • TE Brock Wright (neck)
  • TE Shane Zylstra (knee) — Days remaining in injury evaluation clock: 19
  • LT Taylor Decker (shoulder/rest) — Downgraded from limited practice
  • RT Penei Sewell (shoulder) — Downgraded from limited practice
  • S Kerby Joseph (knee) — Downgraded from limited practice

Amon-Ra St. Brown has missed his second straight practice this week with an ankle injury he suffered in the first quarter of the Thanksgiving Day game. It certainly seems like he’s trending toward possibly just missing one game, but coach Dan Campbell wouldn’t yet declare him out for this week’s matchup with the Cowboys

“He’s better. He’s better, that’s the best way to say it. But I don’t see him practicing today. But he is better. So, I know this: if he can play, he’ll play. That’s the best way to say it.”

St. Brown said it’ll likely go down to a game-day decision this week.

“I’m not sure right now, if I’m being honest. It’s still up in the air,” St. Brown said. “I’ma try to be out there for the guys, for my teammates, but I couldn’t answer that question right now.” fi

The outlook is worse for Raymond, who is on track to miss his second straight game with an ankle injury. Campbell, more or less, declared him out for this week, meaning the Lions will likely have to rely on Jameson Williams, Tom Kennedy, and Isaac TeSlaa this week.

“Yeah, I mean, he’s getting better, but I don’t see him this week,” Campbell said of Raymond.

Zylstra started his injury evaluation clock on Monday, returning from a Week 2 ankle injury. Now he is being listed with a knee injury, which is obviously concerning for his return.

Decker taking a day off in the middle of the week is not abnormal. While he’s technically listed with a shoulder injury, it’s probably just as accurate to call this a rest day, as he’s managed that injury all season long.

Sewell’s addition to the injury report is something to watch because it’s a new shoulder injury. It’s too early to know if this will impact his availability this week, but with no media access on Wednesday, we’ll just have to wait until the final injury report of the week.

It’s certainly discouraging that Joseph was downgraded to no practice this week after returning to practice for...
