Recently, the Detroit Lions received a jolt when cornerback Terrion Arnold was arrested on charges of robbery and kidnapping and taken to jail. Arnold has remained behind bars in the days since the arrest, and now, his legal case has gotten an additional big update.
#Lions CB Terrion Arnold has been granted bond after a judge denied the state’s request to keep him jailed until trial. Bond was set at $1M. As part of the conditions, Arnold cannot have any contact with co-defendants or witnesses, must surrender his passport, and must remain at home or work. He will not be required to wear an ankle monitor,” reported Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team on X, formerly Twitter.
Arnold was accused of directing his co-defendants to lure three men into an apartment in Florida where they were beaten, robbed, and held at gunpoint, reportedly in retaliation for Arnold’s mistaken belief that those three men had stolen from him previously at an Airbnb that he owned.
Jack McKessy of USA Today reported that “Arnold is charged with three counts of kidnapping, three counts of armed robbery, one count of conspiracy to kidnap and one count of conspiracy to commit armed robbery” in connection with the incident, which occurred in February in Florida.
On the field, Arnold has mostly had a strong career thus far for the Lions since being drafted out of Alabama, but this legal incident obviously hangs a big cloud over his future in that department, as there are clearly many more steps in the legal process yet to play out.
In any case, the Lions’ 2026 season is slated to get underway on September 13 against the New Orleans Saints.
