What will the Seahawks do with their first-round pick?
Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NFL. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Seattle Seahawks fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to participate in the weekly emailed surveys.
The 2025 NFL Draft is almost here and there is great anticipation (or anxiety, or indigestion, or trepidation) among Seattle Seahawks fans as far as what the team will do with ample draft capital. Five of Seattle’s 10 picks are in the top 100 selections, headlined by the No. 18 overall selection in Round 1.
For several seasons, John Schneider developed a deserved reputation for wanting to trade down and/or out from his original first-round slot. They gave up first-rounders for Percy Harvin, Jimmy Graham, and Jamal Adams, and traded down in four consecutive seasons from 2016-2019.
It’s been a different story in the 2020s. No trade down in 2020, no trading down further with their second-rounder in 2021, and no trade downs with their top picks from 2022 through 2024. Nothing but stick-and-pick. Will that change this year? Could we see a surprise trade up from 18? Make your voice heard by responding to the survey below!
The other question is what position player the Seahawks will take with their top selection. Those accompanying odds you see are the odds on FanDuel as of Tuesday, Apr. 15. Offensive line is the betting favorite, followed by wide receiver, tight end, and defensive lineman/edge rusher.
Check back later in the week for the survey results.
