Leonard Williams picks up Seahawks’ first fine of 2025 season

The NFL has announced the fines from Week 3’s games, and this time the Seattle Seahawks show up on the naughty list.

In the second quarter of last week’s 44-13 blowout, defensive lineman Leonard Williams got into it with Saints guard Torricelli Simpkins III after Simpkins pushed him in the back away from the play. Williams retaliated with a use of the ole’ noggin, which drew the first of two unnecessary roughness penalties in the game for ‘Big Cat.’

Usually we’d show you what happened but neither CBS nor the All-22 footage revealed the use of helmet violation, so we’ll leave it up to your own imagination as to what happened in the end.

The NFL reviewed the footage, calculated the fine amount, and came up with $23,186 as punishment for Williams. This is Williams’ third fine as a Seahawk, having twice been dinged for face mask penalties last season, but he’s played so damn well that it’s hard to muster up any reaction to that information.

The Saints also had DT Bryan Bresee lose $18,581 after he headbutted Grey Zabel and gave the Seahawks a fresh set of downs on the opening drive of the game, which CBS cameras did at least bother to look at and show the viewing audience.

There were no other fines to report from this one, and you’ll have to wait another week to see what damage comes out of the Seahawks vs. Cardinals.
