Who will coach the Las Vegas Raiders in 2026? We know it won’t be Antonio Pierce or Pete Carroll. Tom Brady won’t be stepping down from the ownership level to the sidelines either.

Las Vegas has been busy. They’ve already interviewed three candidates (Vance Joseph, Davis Webb, and Klint Kubiak). They’re scheduled to interview three others (Matt Nagy, Kevin Stefanski, and Mike LaFleur. They’ve also requested an interview with four others. Actually, make that five.

On Monday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network revealed the Raiders have now requested to interview Los Angeles Chargers defensive coordinator Jesse Minter. Now that the Chargers have been eliminated from the playoffs, Minter is free to join another team any time he wishes.

Though, Minter is in high demand. The Baltimore Ravens, Cleveland Browns, and Tennessee Titans have also all requested an interview with the 42-year-old rising star.

After leading the Chargers to a top-ten scoring defense in both of the past two years, Minter has earned a lot of attention. With eight NFL coaching vacancies up for grabs, Minter faces fairly strong odds of getting a promotion this offseason; it may just be a matter of where.

While several teams have requested to speak with Minter, his season with the Chargers just ended on Sunday night. He’s yet to actually accept or schedule any of the interviews, though he’s expected to start making plans imminently.
