After a 2-5 start, Las Vegas Raiders trade rumors are buzzing. Of course, everyone wants the All-Pro pass-rusher Maxx Crosby. Yet, the Raiders aren’t ready to have that conversation, so they’re holding onto their best player.
However, other members of the Raiders still want a change of scenery.
According to wide receiver Jakobi Meyers, he “for sure” still wants to be traded, yet he’s not making any extra noise because he’s “a professional at the end of the day.”
#Raiders Jakobi Meyers on the trade deadline: “I got no control over that. If I'm here, I'm here.”
Does he still desire to be traded?
“Oh, for sure. But I'm a professional at the end of the day. I'm just trying to play good football.”

Meyers is in the last year of his contract, and he’s already requested a trade. If he’s unhappy in Vegas now, odds are he won’t have any interest in signing a new contract with the Raiders this offseason either.
In that event, maybe it’s best if the Raiders just put Meyers on the trade block and accept the best offer they get for the 29-year-old receiver. Yet, considering he’s second on the team with 329 receiving yards, maybe the Raiders are hesitant to move on from such a crucial part of an offense that’s already struggling to score points with consistency.
We’d imagine several teams, possibly even the New York Giants or Pittsburgh Steelers, would have interest in acquiring Meyers for the right price. Both teams have shown an inclination to boost their receiving corps after better-than-expected results from their offense thus far, and another secondary weapon like Meyers could be an ideal fit.
