The Las Vegas Raiders continue to request interviews for the coaching opening left by the firing of Pete Carroll. They have have requested interviews with Vance Joseph, Klint Kubiak, Davis Webb, Matt Nagy, Kevin Stefanski , Jeff Hafley, Nate Scheelhaase, Mike LeFleur, Chris Shula, Ejiro Evero and now Jesse Minter.
Letβs get to know Minter some more:
Current job:
He has been the defensive coordinator of the Los Angeles Chargers since 2024.
Age:
He is 42.
Coaching experience:
Miner has just six seasons of NFL coaching experience. He has also ben the defensive coordinator at Vanderbilt and at Michigan.
Other interest:
With the Chargersβ season just ending, Minter has received interest from the Baltimore Ravens, Cleveland Browns and Tennessee Titans as well. There will likely more interest from the current pool of teams with eight openings. He could be a favorite in Baltimore, where has was an assistant for four seasons.
Why the Raiders are interested:
Minter is considered a defensive mastermind. Look what Mike McDonald has done in Seattle. Heβs a major target of every team that is interviewing him. It would be a major AFC West get.
