The Las Raiders have started to request interviews for the coaching opening left by the firing of Pete Carroll. ESPN reported that they will interview Vance Joseph this week.
Let’s get to know Joseph some more:
Current job:
He is the Denver Broncos defensive coordinator since 2023.
Age:
He will be 53.
Coaching experience:
He was Denver’s head coach from 2017-18 and has been an NFL coach for 21 seasons. He was 11-21 as a head coach,
Other interest:
ESPN reported Joseph will also interview with the Arizona Cardinals, New York Giants and Tennessee Titans this week while the No. 1 seed Broncos have their bye week.
Why the Raiders are interested:
Joseph is a highly-regarded coach and his defense is one of the very best in the NFL. It is no surprise that so many times are taking the time this week to interview him. So, it all begins.
