Silver And Black Pride
The Las Vegas Raiders will be looking for a new offensive coordinator in 2026 to replace the fired Chip Kelly.
Let’s look at some potential candidates. This, of course, is assuming that head coach Pete Carroll will return in 2026, which isn’t a sure thing at all. Some of these names would likely be candidates if there is a new coach making the decision as well.
The list is presented in alphabetical order:
J.T Barrett:
The former Ohio State quarterback is the Chicago Bears’ quarterbacks coach. He has been with Ben Johnson for the past four seasons. He is only 30, but well regarded. The Raiders couldn’t get Johnson, maybe the hire one of his top aides.
Joe Bleymaier:
He is in his third season as the Kansas City Chiefs passing-game coordinator. He’s been with the team for 10 seasons. The Raiders could try to poach him from a division rival.
Marcus Brady:
Brady is in his second season as the Los Angeles Chargers pass-game coordinator and he has eight seasons of NFL coaching experience. He is highly regarded.
Brian Callahan:
He was fired by the Tennessee Tians after losing to the Raiders in October. He has offensive coordinator experience. Plus, the son of former Raiders’ coach Bill Callahan has spoken highly of the Raiders from his youth.
Ronald Curry:
He has been a quarterbacks coach with the New Orleans Saints and now Buffalo Bills since 2021. Curry, a Raiders’ wide receiver from 2002-08, could be a fun fit for the Silver and Black.
Brian Daboll:
Daboll was fired as the New York Giants head coach this season. He will be a popular name on the OC circuit.
Hank Fraley:
The former offensive lineman is the Lions’ offensive lien coach and run-game coordinator. He could be attracted toward working with Ashton Jeanty.
Sanjay Lal:
He was a key assistant to Carroll in Seattle for three seasons. He is currently the Chargers’ wide receivers coach. A name to keep an eye on.
Scottie Montgomery:
Montgomery, who played for the Raiders in 2003, is in his fifth season in the and is currently the Detroit Lions’ wide receiver coach/associate head coach.
Greg Olson:
The Raiders’ interim offensive coordinator could get promoted by Carroll if he finishes the season strong.
Kevin Stefanski:
He will be a popular OC candidate if the Cleveland Browns fire him as head coach.
Shane Waldron:
He was Carroll’s OC for three seasons in Seattle and he was rumored to be a Carroll target before he hired Kelly. Waldron is currently the Jaguars’ passing-game coordinator.
Davis Webb:
The Denver Broncos’ passing-game coordinator is just 30, but is considered a rising coaching star.
Conclusion:
This is a long list that will evolve, but there are some interesting names here that could be fits no matter who is the Raiders’ head coach six weeks or so.
