All of the top New Orleans brass present as rumors of interest in Cam Ward swirl.

Officially a month away from the NFL Draft, rumors regarding the New Orleans Saints likely draft choice have reached a fever pitch. And while the prevailing message from coaches and players alike is that Derek Carr is the first option for the Saints at QB in 2025, there has been some notable mutual interest between the expected #1 overall pick Cam Ward and the Saints.

The Saints have met with Cam Ward previously, and while this is common practice for any self-respecting NFL team, Ward’s response was anything but routine.

It’s rare for a prospect with this much attention to express not only an interest in playing for a team, but to express being a fan at a younger age.

It sounds like for Ward, becoming a Saint would be a dream come true.

If the Saints recent activity is any indicator, they believe so too.

Per Fletcher Mackel of WDSU, the Saints full top-level staff were present at Miami’s Pro Day.

Could this be a look into all of the prospective draftees Miami has to offer, or a clear indicator of the Saints’ desire to draft Cam Ward?

Time will tell, and it goes without saying that the Saints are not in position to draft him currently. To have a chance at Ward, they will need to make a significant commitment and trade up with the Tennessee Titans to get him.

With positive buzz coming from both camps, it seems possible such a move may be on the horizon.
