The Baltimore Ravens are still working to get Lamar Jackson signed to a long-term contract extension this offseason. For now, he’s signed through 2027. Yet, after the two-time NFL MVP finished as the runner-up to win another award, it’s clear that Jackson is still one of the best players in the league.

With Jackson eligible for an extension, he’s expected to become the NFL’s highest-paid player, which currently belongs to Dak Prescott, who earns $60 million per season. When the Ravens QB was asked about how he feels about a possible extension, which would surely include a raise, Jackson said, “I don’t want to talk about it.

However, he did take time to advocate for the Ravens to add two-time Pro Bowl cornerback Jaire Alexander, who the Green Bay Packers recently released. In the clip below, Jackson can be seen urging Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta to “go get him,” referring to Alexander.

Alexander and Jackson were college teammates at Louisville, but they’ve both belonged to one team since joining the NFL in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft. Now, Alexander could be thinking about joining the Ravens’ ongoing effort to win another Super Bowl.
