Lamar Jackson has responded to claims that the Baltimore Ravens are hiding the extent of his foot injury, following a recent report from NFL insider Adam Schefter.
Fans were sweating on the superstar’s fitness when he left practice early on Wednesday after his foot was stepped on. They should have been allowed to exhale after head coach John Harbaugh confirmed that X-rays were negative on Thursday, adding, “Prayers do get answered.”
“I’m sure it’s a little sore today so we just kept him in, but he’s fine. He’s going to be good,” Harbaugh said.
Strangely enough, Schefter took it to mean that the injury was a bit more serious than the team let on.
Jackson has since put the insider on blast, calling him out with a laughing emoji in a comment on the ESPN NFL Instagram account. A screenshot of the comment has been trending on Twitter/X.

Despite the misinterpretation, Schefter agreed that keeping the quarterback out of practice was the right decision.
“They don’t have to have Lamar Jackson out there right now,” he said. “They need him out there for the start of the regular season, so I would imagine they’d give that foot a couple of weeks to heal.”
“They’re going to be smart with Lamar Jackson and they’re not going to stick him out there any sooner than he has to be,” he added.
Lamar Jackson had another impressive campaign in 2024, posting career-best numbers after coming off his MVP 2023 season with the Ravens. The QB registered 4,172 passing yards, 41 touchdowns, and four interceptions, adding another 915 rushing yards and four scores.
Baltimore ended the season as he top-seeded team in the AFC with a 13-4 record but crashed out of the playoffs in a 27-25 loss to the Buffalo Bills in the Divisional Round.
On another note, the quarterback recently ended a bitter feud with former NFL star Troy Aikman after battling over their No. 8 for around a year.
