Lamar Jackson and Troy Aikman are no longer beefing.

Jackson, a two-time MVP and a stud for the Baltimore Ravens, had been involved in a year-long feud with the former Dallas Cowboys star quarterback.

Aikman, a former No. 1 overall pick who went on to win three Super Bowls with Dallas and was also a league MVP, wore the No. 8 during his playing days, the same number Jackson wears now.

They were embroiled in a dispute over the iconic numeral, but it appears to be over now. According to trademark attorney Josh Gerben, the Ravens star has withdrawn his challenge to Aikman’s application for the word “EIGHT.”

Jackson’s branding does not use the word, with his trademarks including “ERA 8” and “ERA 8 BY LAMAR JACKSON.” But he argued that using the term “EIGHT” could cause confusion, a legitimate concern.

Aikman’s lawyers told the United States Patent and Trademark Office that Jackson’s legal team had been unresponsive. Back in March, they filed a motion to compel discovery, claiming that the Baltimore star’s people failed to respond to requests for information.

As noted, they have settled. And though the details remain confidential, it’s safe to assume that they both 8.
