Los Angeles Lakers forward Adou Thiero’s stolen SUV has been recovered by the LAPD. The incident, which happened over the weekend, drew widespread attention due to the involvement of the brother of a popular NFL player.
Thiero, whose name went viral after scoring his first NBA points, hasn’t played much for LA this season. He has only appeared in nine games so far for Los Angeles.
That’s why being on the news due to non-basketball-related incidents is quite shocking for the 21-year-old. While he is the victim in this case, Los Angeles Rams’ wide receiver Puka Nacua’s older brother, Samson, is one of the two suspects who stole Thiero’s SUV.

The other suspect is 27-year-old Trey Rose. It is reported that Rose and Nacua valeted the vehicle. Without Adou Thiero’s consent, the two decided to take a stroll and drove the vehicle to One Hotel in West Hollywood.
Upon reviewing the CCTV footage, the deputies were able to track Thiero’s SUV and arrest the suspects shortly after. Both Rose and Nacua are currently behind bars due to the bizarre incident.
Despite having a good record, the Los Angeles Lakers are actively trying to upgrade their roster before February’s trade deadline. While they would love to get their hands on Herb Jones, the asking price may be too high for now.
They might as well take a long, hard look at some of their end-of-the-bench guys for more production. Youngsters like Dalton Knecht and Adou Thiero can become productive if given minutes.
Both were recently recalled after their brief stint with the South Bay Lakers, LA’s G-League affiliate.
