In Friday night’s preseason opener at Raymond James Stadium, quarterback Kyle Trask steered the Buccaneers’ offense early in the absence of starters Baker Mayfield, Mike Evans and others.

Trask finished his night 12-for-16 for 129 yards and connected with rookie standout Emeka Egbuka on a 21-yard gain — his first career reception and just missed him along the sideline for a potential touchdown on their opening drive, signaling promise in his NFL debut. Egbuka, the Bucs’ 2025 first-round pick, flashed dynamic route-running and good concentration on his lone catch.

Meanwhile, wideout Ryan Miller, fighting to secure a roster spot, helped the offense move the ball and keep drives alive. He recorded six catches for 66 yards before leaving the game with a potential concussion but was later cleared.

On the ground, Running back Rachaad White carried the ball six times for 28 yards but would leave and not return with a groin injury. Sean Tucker ran the ball 13 times for 50 yards and a touchdown, while Owen Wright ran the ball for 87 yards on 18 carries and one touchdown. Could have had one more but had two touchdowns wiped off the board due to penalties on one drive.

Defensively, the Bucs held the Titans to a total of 201 yards. They held first overall pick quarterback Cam Ward to 67 yards on five completions and on the night recorded three interceptions including a pick-6 by rookie Roman Parodie.
