The Washington Commanders and offensive coordinators have mutually agreed to part ways, according to Adam Schefter:
Now, you know as well as I do that there is no such thing as a mutual breakup. I don’t know what exactly went down in Washington, but one party wanted the arrangement to end more than the other.
This is of interest to us here because Kliff Kingsbury is rumored to be on the list of candidates that Mike Borgonzi will interview in his search for the next coach of the Tennessee Titans. Jordan Schultz said yesterday that Kingsbury is expected to talk to the Titans about the opening, but nothing has been formally scheduled as of this writing.
Kingsbury was the head coach of the Arizona Cardinals from 2019-2022. In his four seasons in Arizona, he compiled a 28-37-1 record. The Cardinals made the playoffs as a wild card team in 2021 after finishing 11-4, but lost to the Los Angeles Rams in the first round.
