The New England Patriots definitely had their Week 7 matchup against the Tennessee Titans circled for a long time. Not only was it the return to Nashville for head coach Mike Vrabel, but it was also a return for several other coaches and players.
That made it even sweeter when the Patriots dominated the Titans by a score of 31-13. It was a completely one-sided affair as the Patriots put up almost 400 total yards of offense, forced two turnovers, and held the Titans to 39 rushing yards.
The Patriots were clearly ready to play and the Titans weren’t. After the game, edge-rusher K’Lavon Chaisson was asked about the big win, and the defender mentioned that the team had “extra juice” for this game.
“Definitely was some extra juice on the defensive end to make sure that our guys — anybody that came from this team or was a part of this organization in any way — got their revenge and they came out on top,” Chaisson said, per Carlos A. Lopez.

It’s not surprising to hear Chaisson say that given the circumstances. It was also the best game of the year for Chaisson, who scored his first NFL touchdown on a fumble recovery and return in the third quarter. In total, Chaisson racked up three tackles, two sacks, and two tackles for loss in addition to his touchdown.
The entire Patriots’ defense played lights out. The unit allowed just 255 yards of offense and only let the Titans convert 3-of-10 third-down opportunities. The Patriots had five sacks as a team and six tackles for loss.
Chaisson is also on pace to have his best NFL season. The defender already has 4.5 sacks through seven games, which is just a half-sack behind his career-high total achieved last season.
Also, if there’s any doubt that this game was personal, quarterback Drake Maye awarded Vrabel the game ball after the decisive victory.
