The Buffalo Bills will kick off training camp on July 23 at St. John Fisher University outside of Rochester, NY. While the players are enjoying a few weeks off before camp begins, there are some lingering questions the team is facing following the conclusion of the offseason workout portion of their schedule.

Today’s edition of Buffalo Rumblinks leads off by examining some of those unresolved questions, including who will win the CB2 job and what Pro Bowl running back James Cook could do if he doesn’t receive a new contract extension?

Training camp questions facing the Bills

The Bills are banking on another lockdown season from cornerback Christian Benford, but the competition to win the other starting boundary cornerback job is expected to be intense between rookie Maxwell Hairston and veterans Tre’Davious White and Dane Jackson.

The status of James Cook also bears watching, as the talented running back has made it publicly known he wants to be paid like one of the league’s best backs. Could Cook report to training camp but do a hold-in and not practice? This situation could be the biggest story line heading into camp if the two sides don’t come to terms on a new deal.
