This one shouldn’t be close ...
We’ll have the offensive line set for the Oakland/Las Vegas Raiders 2000s All-Quarter Century Team after today’s poll, as we’re voting on a right tackle. On that note, the entire offense will also be complete!
The Raiders have seen a lot of turnover at right tackle over the last 25 years, narrowing the pool of candidates and making one name in particular a clear favorite...
Your nominees for right tackle are: Lincoln Kennedy, Langston Walker and Jermaine Eluemunor.
Raiders Stats (2000-2003): 58 games, 56 starts (4 seasons)
Accolades: 3x Pro Bowl (2000-2002), First-Team All-Pro (2002), Second-Team All-Pro (2001)
After being selected as a first-round pick and struggling to hold down a starting spot with the Atlanta Falcons, Kennedy was traded to the Raiders in 1996 for a fifth-round pick, and that ended up being a steal. He’s widely considered one of the franchise’s best offensive linemen in the 2000s, making three consecutive Pro Bowl rosters and earning back-to-back All-Pro bids at the turn of the century. Additionally, Kennedy was a key member of the Raiders’ three playoff teams from 2000 to 2002, all of which had top-five NFL offenses.
Raiders Stats: 88 games, 50 starts (7 seasons)
Accolades: none
Born in Oakland and an alumnus of Bishop O’Dowd High School and UC Berkley, Walker was just destined to be a Raider. While he spent the 2007 and 2008 campaigns away from The Town with the Buffalo Bills, the Bay Area-bred offensive lineman returned home in ‘09 to finish his career with the Silver and Black. While he was a backup, Walker was a member of the franchise’s last Super Bowl team. He also had a handful of years as a decent starter for the club.
Raiders Stats: 48 games, 34 starts (3 seasons)
Accolades: none
Playing for the Raiders might have saved Eluemunor’s career. In 2021, he signed a veteran minimum contract with Las Vegas and served as a backup guard. Josh McDaniels retained Eluemunor the following year—they had worked together previously with the New England Patriots—and the offensive lineman became the Raiders' starting right tackle after Alex Leatherwood was cut at the end of training camp. The former Patriot ended up being a quality starter for two seasons with the Silver and Black, posting 75.3 and 68.7 grades from Pro Football Focus. Now, Eluemunor is about to enter his second season as a starter for the New York Giants while making $7 million a year on his current deal. Not bad for a guy who was just hoping to land a contract four years ago.
So, which offensive lineman are you going with for the right tackle spot on the Raiders’ 2000s All-Quarter Century Team?
