The least surprising news of Super Bowl weekend.

In what has been the worst-kept secret around the NFL the past two weeks, it appears that Eagles offensive coordinator Kellen Moore is all but a lock to land the head coaching position for the New Orleans Saints following Super Bowl LIX.

He’s been the front-runner even before the NFC Championship Game, with the Saints flying to Philly to meet with Moore weeks ago. He hasn’t talked about it much, saying that he’s just focused on the Super Bowl and getting the Eagles offense ready for the game, but it’ll be a small taste of his new home when the team takes the field at Caesars Superdome on Sunday afternoon.

The Eagles are used to losing their coordinators, in large part due to the success they’ve had under Nick Sirianni. When asked about the possibility of having yet another OC to work with, Jalen Hurts told reporters to ask him again after the Super Bowl. Still, Sirianni and Hurts have had nothing but glowing reviews of Moore, and both acknowledged his potential to be a great head coach one day.

Moore’s exit in Philly will now go one of two ways: 1) The Eagles win and he gets a nice celebratory sendoff from fans, or 2) the Eagles lose and his focus and commitment will be questioned by fans kicking him out the door.
