New England Patriots running back Rhamondre Stevenson has missed the team’s last three games due to a toe injury and Kayshon Boutte has been sidelined each of the last two weeks with a hamstring ailment.
Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel gave a positive update on both players’ Week 12 statuses on Monday.
“Mike Vrabel said he expects Rhamondre Stevenson and Kayshon Boutte to both practice Wednesday,” Chad Graff of The Athletic posted on Bluesky. “That would be a big boost for the Patriots to get them back.”
Stevenson’s absence has opened the door for rookie TreVeyon Henderson in the backfield and the second-round pick has responded big time.
Henderson has carried the load over the last three games, recording 264 rushing yards and four touchdowns during the stretch. He had a historic Week 11 effort vs. the New York Jets, scoring all three of the team’s touchdowns.
Henderson’s ascension, Vrabel’s coaching and quarterback Drake Maye’s MVP play have propelled New England to a 9-2 record, which is tied with the Denver Broncos for the best mark in the NFL.
