It took longer than anyone would have expected, but Justin Jefferson reached a mark that put him beside a couple of greats in NFL history.
With a 17-yard reception in the second quarter against the Green Bay Packers, Jefferson went over the 1,000-yard mark for the 2025 season, making it the sixth consecutive season that he has gone over that mark.
By reaching the 1,000-yard mark, he is now just one of three players in the history of the National Football League to begin his career with six consecutive seasons of 1,000 receiving yards. The others are Vikings legend and Pro Football Hall of Famer Randy Moss and current Tampa Bay Buccaneers star Mike Evans. Moss had six straight seasons of more than 1,000 yards to start his career, while Evans extended his mark to eleven consecutive seasons, a streak that ended this season.
Jefferson has also set the record for the most receiving yards for a player in his first six NFL seasons. With his 68 yards so far today, he now has 8,447 yards, passing Moss’ record in that category.
Congratulations to Justin Jefferson on his sixth consecutive 1,000-yard season! It took a while to get there, but get there he did!
