The Cleveland Browns will be running out their third starting quarterback of the season on Sunday when they start Shedeur Sanders against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Sanders took the field at the beginning of the second half during Cleveland’s Week 11 game, which ended in a 23-16 defeat to the Baltimore Ravens. He replaced Dillon Gabriel as the starting quarterback after a concussion sidelined Gabriel.

Sanders didn’t have a strong performance, completing four of 16 passes for 47 yards, and didn’t lead the Browns to any points in the second half.

However, Sanders now has a full week of practice with the starters, and former New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman thinks Sanders will be better this week than last game.

“I think the expectation is that Sanders will be better than last week,” Edelam said on Friday during “The Herd”. “He’s playing a pretty bad team, but has a good defense in the Raiders. Maxx Crosby could ruin a guy’s day.”

Sanders will need to be cautious of Crosby, who is among the top pass rushers in the NFL. Crosby’s pressure could lead to some poor throws from Sanders, particularly given that the Browns’ offensive line ranks as one of the worst in the league.

Many fans will be closely watching the Browns game on Sunday to see if Sanders can deliver a strong performance and spark a conversation about his potential for the rest of the season.
