Thanks to their crushing 21-14 loss, the highlight of last weekend for the New England Patriots was when they inducted former head coach Bill Parcells and wide receiver Julian Edelman into their team’s Hall of Fame. Ahead of Week 4, Edelman is working on firing up his old team for their upcoming Week 4 action.
In Week 3, the Patriots largely outplayed the Pittsburgh Steelers, but they committed five turnovers along the way, which ultimately prevented them from winning the game. Considering how well the team played otherwise, it was a very tough pill to swallow.
New England has a great shot to get back on track on Sunday, though, as they will take on the Carolina Panthers. While the Pats have more talent than the Panthers on paper, it is worth noting they handed the Atlanta Falcons an embarrassing 30-0 defeat in Week 3.
Many folks believe the Patriots can win this game, though, including Edelman. Ahead of the game, the three-time Super Bowl champion issued a quick two-word message on social media that will surely get fans pumped for this contest.
“Gotta Believe,” Edelman simply said alongside a Week 4 hype video in a post on X.
New England showed several encouraging signs on offense in Week 3, even though they ultimately threw away a win. If they can put all the pieces of the puzzle together against the Panthers, they should be able to come out on top.
Edelman believes the Pats can win, and it’s clear he’s not the only person in the New England region who feels the same way. Kickoff for this contest is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET on Sunday afternoon, and the Patriots will be hoping to have earned their second win of the season by the time they walk off the field.
