With June around the corner, the Aaron Rodgers-to-Pittsburgh buzz refuses to fade. Steelers fans are still waiting for a definitive answer, but so far, Rodgers hasn’t shown up-not even once. That silence hit a nerve with FOX Sports’ Joy Taylor, who didn’t hold back while calling out the veteran quarterback for skipping the first day of Steelers’ organized team activities.

“Mandatory or not, where’s your pride?” Taylor said during a segment, visibly frustrated. “Where’s your dignity? Where’s your respect for the game? Respect for this organization?” Rodgers, who’s still not officially a Steeler, hasn’t taken a step inside the facility, and that’s exactly the problem, Taylor argued. With no chemistry established and zero familiarity with the team, she questioned why he wouldn’t at least make an appearance.

Still Waiting On Aaron Rodgers

Tuesday marked the start of six scheduled OTAs for Pittsburgh, running through June 5. These sessions, while technically voluntary for most players, offer a critical window for team building, especially for someone who might walk in as the face of the franchise.

WOW: JOY TAYLOR GOES OFF ON AARON RODGERS FOR NOT SHOWING UP TO THE 1ST DAY OF OTAs FOR THE #STEELERS.

Rodgers has yet to commit, and according to Taylor, this situation is different from a seasoned veteran skipping OTAs with a team he knows well. “He doesn’t know any of his teammates,” she said. “He doesn’t know the doctors, the rehab crew, doesn’t even know where to get his smoothies.” In Taylor’s view, showing up would be the bare minimum for someone looking to take over a locker room and a city.

As this storyline unfolds, the Steelers haven’t put all their eggs in the Rodgers basket. ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported Monday on SportsCenter that Kirk Cousins is also on Pittsburgh’s radar. The Atlanta Falcons quarterback has $37.5 million in guarantees over the next two seasons, but a trade could be possible if Atlanta is willing to absorb some of that money.

Cousins, while not the headliner Rodgers is, represents a capable fallback if talks fall through. But for now, all eyes remain on Rodgers- or rather, the empty space where he should be. If he’s waiting until after OTAs to make a move, Joy Taylor isn’t buying it.

“Why would you not be there?” she asked. Plenty in Pittsburgh are starting to ask the same question.
