Who wants to watch the Sixers on Super Bowl Sunday? You do actually…or at least check the score. The game just started and anyone who is an Eagles fan should be paying close attention because there is a clear correlation between the Sixers and Eagles success on Super Bowl Sunday:
Could the outcome of the Super Bowl depend on the 76ers?
The Eagles have LOST all 3 Super Bowls when the Sixers won their game the day of/day before the Super Bowl.
The Eagles WON Super Bowl LII when the Sixers lost their game the day prior.

What a crazy stat from former CB contributor Chris Jas. Here’s an opportunity for Josh Harris to get back in the good graces of everyone in Philly. Get a message down to the team that you need to tank tonight. You did it for four seasons what’s another game? We’re dealing with powers beyond our control.
Look at these results and try to tell me the final score today doesn’t matter:
Julius Erving had 15 and 11, Daryl Dawkins and Andrew Toney poured in 28 combined, and the Sixers beat the Phoenix Suns 98-93. The Eagles lose 27-10 in New Orleans as 3-point favorites.
Allen Iverson had 28, Andre Iguodala and Kyle Korver poured in 32 combined, and the Sixers beat the LA Clippers 106-104. The Eagles lose 24-21 to Tom Brady and the Patriots in Jacksonville.
The Sixers lose to the Indiana Pacers the day before. Double-doubles from Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons weren’t enough against Victor Oladipo and Bojan Bogdanovic. The next day the Eagles beat Tom Brady and the Patriots 41-33 for the franchise’s first Super Bowl title ever!
The Sixers again played the night before beating the Brooklyn Nets 101-98. Joel Embiid had 37 and 11 while James Harden added 29. The Eagles lose as 1.5-point favorites to the Chiefs.
Your move, Josh.
