The Buffalo Bills did all they could to give their fans a home opener to remember in Week 1, needing every bit of game clock to steal a near-certain victory away from the Baltimore Ravens. That win can largely be attributed to quarterback Josh Allen, who showed the national audience what an NFL MVP can do with less than five minutes to play and down 15 points.
For his efforts last Sunday, Josh Allen has been named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week. It’s the 16th such award for Allen, who was also named the third-best player in 2025 by his peers. Allen continues to collect accolades and awards, but he has yet to hoist the coveted Lombardi Trophy as a Super Bowl winner.
Allen had a fourth quarter for the ages against the Super Bowl-favorite Ravens, throwing for 251 yards and a touchdown, adding two rushing scores of his own in the final 15 minutes of play. There were only eight other quarterbacks who managed 251 yards or better in Week 1.
Impressively, Allen and the Bills’ offense did all their fourth-quarter damage using 11:07 of game clock. Here are all the dates of Josh Allen’s AFC Offensive Player of the Week awards — his first coming after a Week 17 effort during the 2018 NFL season.
