Josh Allen continues his MVP ways

Josh Allen continues his MVP ways
Buffalo Rumblings Buffalo Rumblings

There’s a funny thing about seeing a Buffalo Bills game live at the stadium. At least for myself I tend not to truly process things in a stats-based fashion. I knew Josh Allen played well as the Bills took down the Baltimore Ravens, but it wasn’t until after the game when the numbers started flooding in that it hit me.

The reigning NFL MVP is off to a good start in trying for a repeat. Let’s check out a few highlights.

Routine throw

How many of us watching saw this throw live and felt “ho-hum, nice routine throw?” That’s not wrong either. This was the first play of the game for Buffalo, and Josh Allen hit a routine throw. This may be a routine throw, and many quarterbacks can make this seem routine, but for fans of the Bills how long were we jealous of all these routine throws? It’s nice to reach a point where these types of plays can be taken for granted. I should also add that even in this “routine throw,” Josh Allen hits Dalton Kincaid’s hands perfectly to allow the tight end to pivot and head upfield.

Where very good becomes elite

This is more “routine for very good to elite quarterback” level. The needed velocity to time this up is pretty wild and Allen hits the spot perfectly.

Throw to Coleman

I wanted at least one to Keon Coleman since he also had an incredible day. Allen tossed it high, where only Coleman could get it. Coleman rewarded Allen’s confidence with a high-point effort and came down with the ball.

Touchdown to Coleman

This was such a fun moment because I legitimately feel like the Bills have had terrible luck on plays where chaos rears its head. I know Ravens fans (some of them, not all) have been trying to diminish the value of the win. Luck does happen, and yes you’re allowed to admit that, even with Bills friends. The fun thing about luck is that all teams experience it, so enjoy it when it breaks our way. Luck doesn’t change the fact that Buffalo battled back and deserve the win.

The Final Straw

Josh Allen is amazing. That is all.
