Will the Bills continue their dominance on Thursday night during the 2025 NFL season?
Since Josh Allen became the quarterback of the Buffalo Bills in 2018, primetime matchups have often brought out his and the team’s best. That’s especially true on Thursdays.
The Bills hold an undefeated record of 7-0 on Thursday Night Football during Allen’s tenure — an impressive record that reinforces the team’s habit of shining brightest in primetime.
No matter the opponent or the setting — whether on the road, at home, or the national spotlight of Thanksgiving — Allen and the Bills have delivered every time.
It’s been confirmed that Buffalo will be featured on two TNF broadcasts in 2025, which is the maximum allowed. First they’ll host the Miami Dolphins, for Week 3 (September 18) at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, NY. Then in Week 12, the Bills will travel to NRG Stadium for a primetime matchup with the Houston Texans on November 20.
The NFL continues expanding its flex scheduling rules to help with their viewership for Thursday Night Football on Amazon Prime. With that, the league has updated how and when games can be flexed into Thursday slots.
The NFL is now permitted to flex up to two games total into Thursday Night Football between Weeks 13 and 17, with 21 days’ notice required.
However, Bills Mafia can rest easy knowing that teams can only appear on Thursday Night Football a maximum of twice per season. That means Buffalo cannot be flexed into any additional Thursday games during the 2025 season as they will already be at their limit.
