As preseasons go, this has been an interesting one for the Arizona Cardinals.
Jonathan Gannon had Kyler Murray and most of the starters play in the first preseason game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Then, they had a joint practice against the Denver Broncos, where they felt so good about what they accomplished that they decided that most of the starters did not need to play in preseason game two.
Another thing that happened in the game was that Gannon did not have the coordinators calling the game on Saturday night.
No, instead Gannon had two assistant coaches call the offense and defense this week.
Passing game coordinator/wide receivers coach Drew Terrell called the offense, while cornerback coach Ryan Smith called the defense in the game against the Broncos.
Gannon believes in both coaches and wants them to get prepared as they continue to develop and move forward in their careers, just as any player down the depth chart may be doing as well.
This is a great look at who Gannon is and what he is doing not just in the roster, but for the coaching staff.
