When the Cleveland Browns drafted LB Carson Schwesinger, most read the writing on the wall as a sign that LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah would not be playing this season. That was confirmed when the team put JOK on injured reserve, ending his 2025 NFL season, long before the season actually started.
So far, Schwesinger has looked good as Cleveland’s middle linebacker, but many have wondered how great the defense would look with both the rookie and Owusu-Koramoah running all over the field with their speed and defensive awareness. Fans are holding out hope that JOK could return for the 2026 season, which is why this post on social media grabbed a lot of attention:
Browns fans have quickly gravitated toward a few different statements, leading them to believe that JOK is for sure returning or is moving on from football.
The final line is the one that everyone will hold on to for hope:
“Their light is not lost—it is only preparing to burn brighter when his appointed time comes. #DawgPound”
For now, we do not know if Owusu-Koramoah is just posting wistfully as he wishes to be on the field or if there is far more meaning to the post. The first goal is that JOK is healthy. If he is and can play, Cleveland getting to see Schwesinger and Owusu-Koramoah on the field together will be a delight.
