John Harbaugh’s list of potential destinations has been narrowed down to two NFL teams.

While coach-needy franchises have conducted multiple interviews over the last few days, it’s no secret that Harbaugh is the one they all want.

But, according to a certain source, only two of them really have his attention.

The Baltimore Ravens fired Harbaugh following their loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 18, making him the most wanted man in the current cycle. The 63-year-old had spent 18 years with the AFC North outfit, winning them six division titles and a Super Bowl.

He leaves the team with a 180-113 record and will continue his career with a different organization.

The New York Giants have been linked with another candidate, but it’s understood that Harbaugh is their first priority.

Unfortunately for them, they’re one of two potential destinations for the sought-after head coach, despite reports that it’s the move he wants.

Another Team Is Thought To Have As Big A Chance Of Hiring John Harbaugh

Connor J. Hughes of SNY reports that Harbaugh is keen on New York, but the Atlanta Falcons also have a chance. In fact, they’ve already interviewed him.

Hughes also notes that the team that misses out will hire former Cleveland Browns HC Kevin Stefanski.

“The question is how much Harbaugh wants the Giants,” he says. “He values the opening, sources said, because of the franchise’s history and quarterback Jaxson Dart, but New York is not the only team pursuing him.”

He adds:

“The Atlanta Falcons are a team to monitor, sources said. There is belief amongst other coaching candidates that it’s the Giants and Falcons for Harbaugh, with the loser of those sweepstakes landing Kevin Stefanski.”

The Giants have conducted interviews with their interim HC Mike Kafka, as well as Antonio Pierce, Raheem Morris and Vance Joseph. Stefanski has been interviewed, too.

Former Dallas Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy is expected to be interviewed this week. The team has also requested interviews with Darren Rizzi, Davis Webb, Lou Anarumo and Klint Kubiak.

Should they fail in their pursuit of Harbaugh, Stefanski could get the job. But the market is expected to open up as teams fall out of the playoffs, so he might not wait around.
