The former Steelers cornerback shared some wisdom with Aaron Rodgers

It’s still setting in for many people that Aaron Rodgers is the quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Seeing him in a practice uniform and Steelers helmet still feels a bit surreal, and it’s very exciting.

Several current and former players have appeared on respective shows, voicing their thoughts on the addition of Rodgers. The most recent player to speak on the matter is former Steelers cornerback Joe Haden. Appearing on Up & Adams, Haden shared what advice he would give to Rodgers as he enters his first season as the Steelers’ quarterback.

“You just got to be a grown man,” Haden said. “Go there, be honest. Coach Tomlin does a great job of being able to build real, genuine relationships with people. Me and him had a relationship where you could just talk.”

Haden added that Tomlin isn’t going to beat around the bush when it comes to being open with his players.

“One thing he’s going to do [is] he’s going to be blatantly honest with you,” Haden said. “So you just need to be honest with him. Coach Tomlin is so real. There’s no fluff, there’s no fake. So when he tells you something, he means it.”

The Steelers will report to training camp on Wednesday, July 23rd and hold their first practice on Thursday, July 24th.
