Season 3 of Netflix’s sports documentary series Quarterback revealed that Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Flacco was not pleased with T.J. Watt in the Steelers-Bengals game in Week 10. Flacco thought Watt pulled off a dirty hit on him.

Shown on the sideline right after the hit, Flacco said, “Man, he f***ed me up. He knew what he was doing, too. Oh, I think so, but he f***ed me up. It was on my left side, but man, the way he bent me up, this area right here, it just got extra f***ed up — my right pec. He was like, ‘I’ve got a chance to hit him here. I’m gonna take full advantage.

“It didn’t feel good,” Flacco added. “But that’s football. That’s the Steelers defense.”

In his postgame press conference, Flacco was more reserved. He was asked about the hit and said, “It’s just football. He did a good job of driving me into the turf.”

Below is a clip of Watt’s hit on Flacco. Watt was flagged for roughing the passer.

On Tuesday during an appearance on Glenn Clark Radio, Flacco clarified his comments on Watt and the Steelers defense on the Netflix documentary.

“I don’t think so. I actually enjoy that part of the game,” Flacco said when asked if the Steelers play dirty. “I remember talking about [the hit from T.J. Watt last season], he probably knew I was banged up and that’s part of the game. When guys are hurt, it’s your job to exploit that.”
