Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow went the scientific route when it came to Christmas shopping for his offensive linemen this year.

It’s been another frustrating year for the Bengals, who have two games left in what will be a third straight non-playoff season. Joe Burrow hasn’t hid his frustrations and disappointment with 2025, a season that saw him miss nine games with a turf toe injury.

Burrow still hasn’t gotten to enjoy the luxury of a half-decent offensive line in his career. But that didn’t stop him from giving them some generous Christmas gifts this year.

Per ESPN’s Ben Baby, Joe Burrow presented his offensive linemen fossils that are believed to be 30,000 years old. In the case of veteran Ted Karras, he was gifted a woolly mammoth’s tusk:

“On Monday, Burrow invited players over to his home in Cincinnati. When they arrived, they were greeted with an array of old bones mounted on displays at Burrow’s residence. Players selected their fossil of choice depending on when they arrived and their seniority compared to others.

Karras picked the tusk of a woolly mammoth, a piece that archeologists estimated to be about 30,000 years old. Bengals offensive tackles Orlando Brown Jr. and Amarius Mims each took home cave bear skulls. A Tyrannosaurus rex artifact that went to rookie left guard Dylan Fairchild was also included among the gifts.”

Maybe you’re not interested in science and history and think Burrow should have gotten them something modern. Well, they’re more generous than Jordan Love’s gifts to his linemen, Nike Dunk sneakers worth around $5,000.

Joe Burrow Looks To Conclude 2025 Season On A High Note

The Bengals may have clinched their first losing season since 2020. But there is something to play for over the last two weeks.

Cincinnati has looked much better under Burrow when healthy. So, it would be encouraging if he could lead them to victories to conclude the year. Cincinnati wraps up against the Arizona Cardinals and Cleveland Browns, two awfully winnable games.

Closing out the season on a three-game winning streak would be a nice way to wrap up hat has mostly been a forgettable year. It might also remind owner Mike Brown that this team would be a contender if he’d actually spend money.
