The Pittsburgh Steelers have been one of the most-discussed teams in the NFL over the offseason and preseason. They’ve made several high-profile additions over the last number of months – none greater than four-time MVP Aaron Rodgers at quarterback.

Many have their doubts about what Rodgers still has in the tank, but there is at least one notable name that believes in the former Packers star – legendary play-by-play man Jim Nantz.

“Just looking at our [CBS] schedule, which is loaded, but it’s very Pittsburgh back-heavy at the end of the year,” Nantz said via Drew Lerner of Awful Announcing. “That’s important to us.”

Nantz adds that he believes the signing of Aaron Rodgers will end up being a good one for the Steelers.

“I think it’s gonna work out,” Nantz said. “I’m going against the popular viewpoint of what happened with the Jets. It was better than people gave him credit for, by a lot.”

Despite the Jets’ lack of success in 2024, Rodgers still threw 28 touchdowns. If he does anything close to that in 2025, the Steelers will be back in the postseason, and perhaps compete for a division title.
