The vibes are high in Indianapolis right now, as the Colts have been one of the early surprises of the NFL season following their 2-0 star. The 2025 campaign is also the franchise’s first under new owner Carlie Irsay-Gordon, who took over following the passing of her father Jim Irsay.
On Sunday, September 14, during the Indianapolis’ Colts dramatic 29-28 win over the Denver Broncos, the 44-year-old Carlie Irsay-Gordon was seen on the Colts sidelines with headphones in her ears, taking notes as she listened to the coaches call their plays. Irsay-Gordon’s hands-on ownership immediately went viral on social media, with many fans praising her approach.
Others, however, seemed to suggest what Irsay-Gordon was intruding on the coaches and micromanaging, sparking debate over her conduct. Eagle-eyed Colts fans have noted, however, that this is not new for Irsay-Gordon, as it’s something she’s been seen doing over the last couple of seasons, with the above image being photographed back in 2023.

“Colts have been on fire, what she’s doing shows she cares and that makes it way down to the coaching which makes its way down to the players. Calling it micromanaging is only because she’s a woman let’s be real,” one of the top replies to the viral video read.
“Love this! Multiple billion dollar franchise and she is holding everyone accountable. It’s a select few in the world that can coach, manage and run an NFL organization and it’s her money her choice to hold them to a high standard. The Colts by the way are 2-0,” another added.
Following their season-opening wins over the Miami Dolphins and Denver Broncos, which puts them atop the AFC South, the Colts will head to Tennessse for their first road game of the 2025 season as the take on the 0-2 Titans.
