The first half of the New York Jets game against the Dallas Cowboys is in the books, and the Jets are trailing the Cowboys, 24 – 3.

The game opened with the Jets on offense. They put together an impressive long, grinding drive, eventually getting inside the Cowboys’ five-yard line before the drive bogged down. They were forced to settle for a field goal and an early 3 – 0 lead.

The Cowboys answered with a drive for a field goal to tie the game at 3 – 3 late in the first quarter.

The first quarter ended with the score still 3 – 3 and the Cowboys driving. A few plays later Dak Prescott found Jake Ferguson on a catch and run for a touchdown and a 10 – 3 Cowboys lead.

Late in the half the Jets were putting together an impressive drive when Breece Hall broke a big run. Unfortunately he fumbled and the Cowboys recovered, snuffing out a potential Jets scoring drive.

A little more than a minute later the Cowboys finished off a 90+ yard drive with a touchdown run by Javonte Williams to take a 17 – 3 lead with less than a minute left in the half. The Jets found themselves in the familiar position of being down by two scores, a position they aren’t built to recover from.

The Cowboys then forced a Jets punt. Javonte Williams broke a long run to the one yard line, Dak Prescott found Jake Ferguson in the end zone, and the Cowboys had an all but insurmountable three touchdown lead going into the locker room.

We go into the second half with the Jets trailing the Cowboys 23 -3.
