The first half of Week 2 was ugly for the New York Jets. The Buffalo Bills take a 20-3 lead to halftime. Buffalo outgained the Jets 247-78 in the first half. The Bills had 14 first downs to 5 for the Jets.
The Jets couldn’t get out of their own way with mistakes. A pair of Jets penalties extended scoring drives for the Bills. A Justin Fields fumble set up another Buffalo score.
It was part of an ugly first half for Fields who completed only 2 of 8 passes for 25 yards. Josh Allen hasn’t played flawless football. The Jets have held him to a stat line of 8 for 16 for 70 yards. It hasn’t mattered, though due to New York’s mistakes and the Bills gashing the Jets on the ground for 146 rushing yards through the first two quarters.
