It’s anybody’s guess who Garrett Wilson’s top sidekick will be.
This week in our SB Nation’s React poll, we asked you to tell us who will slide into the number two wide receiver role for the Jets. Garrett Wilson is the team’s top receiver by a mile. Behind him is an undistinguished field.
There isn’t a clear answer, and our poll results are a vivid display.
Josh Reynolds the top vote getter, but he received just over one-third of the votes.
Reynolds only had 13 catches in 9 games a year ago and has never put together so much as a 700 yard season. It isn’t clear he has what it takes to be a good second option.
Then again the alternatives are the perennially underwhelming Lazard, a fourth round rookie in Smith, a second year player who showed nothing as a rookie in Corley, a third year player who showed nothing in his first two years in Gipson, and a career backup in Johnson.
Let’s just say Jets should continue looking for upgrades available on the open market.
