The New York Jets were a busy team in the days leading up to training camp, extending the contracts of two of their best players. First came Garrett Wilson’s extension. Then came Sauce Gardner’s.
Last week we ask Jets fans how they felt about Wilson’s new contract. The answer was that they liked it a lot.
This week we moved on to Sauce Gardner’s new contract. Do Jets fans approve? To answer in a word, yes.
Gardner has been one of the league’s best corners since he first set foot on an NFL field two years ago. He was named First Team All Pro in his first two seasons. Year three saw him take a bit of a step back. Still, a bad year for Gardner is a good year for most cornerbacks in the NFL.
Jets fans will get to see Gardner wear green and white through his prime, and they are happy about it.
