As the calendar turns to December in a lost season, a debate typically pops up in the Jets fanbase. Is it better to lose games for better positioning in the NFL Draft or to win games?
That was our question in this week’s SB Nation Reacts survey. The result was a landslide.
This Jets season is a bit different from last. A year ago, the Jets were having a miserable season. The team was also loaded with veteran players who were certain to not return for 2025. This year the Jets are in the middle of a youth movement. Young players are getting game reps across the roster. It stands to reason that if the Jets are winning games, it is a likely sign those young players are performing well. That has positive implications for the team.
Last week’s win over the Atlanta Falcons did good things for overall fan confidence.
I don’t think it’s often that you see a 3-9 team have a 75 percent fan confidence rating.
But this is the case where you would expect it. The Jets are a young team whose performance level has improved the deeper we have gotten into the season.
