The Jets lost on Sunday, but they won in the chase for a higher pick.
The Jets lost to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 13. The loss did help the team with Draft positioning, however. According to Tankathon the Jets currently hold the sixth pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Picks 19 through 32 will be determined by the results of the NFL Playoffs.
The first tiebreaker is strength of schedule. The Jets currently have a tougher strength of schedule than fellow 3-9 team Carolina but an easier one than 3-9 Tennessee, which puts them at sixth.
The race for the top pick is very tight. The Jets are one of seven teams within a game of the top pick. Gaining it will require some expert level losing.
