The Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers are facing off this weekend, marking the first time that defensive Pro Bowler Micah Parsons is facing the Jerry Jones-owned team since they traded him earlier this summer. In the lead up to the game, Jones certainly is doing his part to provide Parsons with additional motivational fuel.
Even if Jerry Jones were to have kept his mouth shut, Micah Parsons would have likely gone into Sunday’s Week 4 game between the 2-1 Packers and 1-2 Cowboys with a point to prove.
What the 82-year-old Jones said about Parsons on Friday in the lead up to the game, however, will likely only add further fuel to that fire.
Appearing on 105.3 The Fan this week, Jones was naturally asked about facing off against Parsons — who, after being unable to come to come to an agreement on a new contract, was traded to the Packers in exchange for defensive tackle Kenny Clark and two first-round draft picks — and took a direct shot at Parson’s abilities, implying that he’s a liability against the run.
“While he does make great plays, there is also a way to approach playing against Micah — as we know, because we didn’t exactly win the Super Bowl those years. … Some plays it looks beautiful, but then other plays, especially running plays, you wish you had a different formation,” Jones said.

Despite being on the road, the Packers are 6.5-point favorites against the Dallas Cowboys for their Sunday Night Football matchup. The point total is currently set at 47.5 points.
