Yes, Jermaine Burton has had some issues with discipline since being drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals last year.
But the team and fans shouldn’t give up on him yet.
The electric receiver has done everything right this offseason, and his recent absence from practice is reportedly not due to any sort of personal issue. Rather, as Burton shared on social media, he is dealing with an injury and should be back soon.
Today, his statement was confirmed by insider Jeremy Fowler, who posted, “My understanding is Burton is dealing with some knee swelling but is expected back soon. Not considered major.”
That’s good news for both the short term and long term prospects of Burton, who could open up an already proficient offense even more with his big play potential.
