The chaos around the Jets just keeps getting worse
Questions are often quite simple to answer, at least when you’re comfortable giving the correct/honest answer.
For example, if someone asked me “Hey, IMissFatRex, which NFL team do you root for?” I would say “The New York Jets.” A simple, clear answer to a simple question.
This week, New York Jets head coach Jeff Ulbrich was asked a simple question in light of a recent report that did not reflect well on the team. That question pertained to whether safety Tony Adams was benched in part because of the prompting of team owner Woody Johnson, notably a man with zero actual football experience or expertise.
Instead of answering that simple question with a “No, that was not why he was benched,” Ulbrich instead said the following.
And that, my friends, is what we call a non-answer. In this case, we can read between the lines and say that there’s very little reason for him to give this answer if the latest report that made the Jets look like the NFL’s biggest circus tent was false and very much reason for him to give this answer if it’s true.
Woody, please just leave the football decisions to the football experts. I mean c’mon man, this just isn’t your lane.
