Later this week, Jaylen Brown and the Boston Celtics will kick off training camp for the 2024-25 season. Before that, though, he made sure to enjoy one of the final down days of the offseason by attending the New England Patriots’ Week 4 contest against the Carolina Panthers.

The local ties between teams in the New England region are strong, and that’s been on full display throughout the summer. Brown’s teammate, Jayson Tatum, attended one of New England’s training camp practices back in August, and he was also in attendance with his son, Deuce, for their Week 3 clash with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

This time, it was Brown’s turn to support the Pats, as he is in attendance for their game against the Panthers. Before the game, Brown was on the field at Gillette Stadium, and he showed off his football skills by making some throws with his non-dominant left hand.

The Celtics have endured a hectic offseason that has seen them shed quite a bit of talent. Add in the fact that Tatum is still recovering from a torn Achilles tendon, and that’s going to put the spotlight on Brown to lead Boston in the upcoming season.

While expectations for the C’s are understandably lower heading into the new campaign, Brown is embracing the challenge that he is facing. For the first time in his career, he will be the unquestioned top option for Boston on offense.

Whether or not that will be enough to keep the team competitive remains to be seen. For now, he’s hoping to watch the Patriots pick up a win on Sunday, before taking part in the Celtics’ media day activities on Monday.
