Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart caught himself a nice dinner during a turkey hunting trip with his friend — shortly after a near-flawless outing at his pro day.
When he’s not lighting up opposing defenses with his slick release, the Kaysville, Utah, native spends much of his recreational hunting and fishing. And during one of his recent trips out in the wild, Jaxson Dart and a friend caught a turkey that should feed them well for the next couple of weeks.
Dart’s friend, Tyler Jordan, shared a photo of the giant turkey they nabbed during a Georgia hunting trip. According to Jordan, it’s Dart’s first turkey catch in the state:

What can we say, it’s been a good weekend for the soon-to-be professional football player. He only helped his draft stock with an excellent pro day performance, and now he can treat himself to some delicious turkey meals to celebrate.
In his final season of college football, Jaxson Dart threw for 4,279 yards, 29 touchdowns and only six interceptions. Dart threw at least 20 touchdowns in his final three years with the Rebels.
Dart is the consensus No. 3 quarterback prospect in this year’s draft, behind Miami’s Cam Ward and Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders. ESPN’s Mel Kiper has Dart as the 18th-ranked prospect on his latest 2025 draft big board.
Teams that could eye Dart in the first round include the New Orleans Saints, New York Jets, Pittsburgh Steelers (they don’t have a suitable starting QB on the roster) and Los Angeles Rams (Matthew Stafford is entering his age-37 season).
