The Los Angeles Rams have another injury scare in training camp to add to Matthew Stafford’s back, which is that edge rusher Jared Verse had to be helped off of the field when he bumped knees with teammate Braden Fiske. Whether Verse is in danger of missing any practices, or worse yet games, is not yet known. Sean McVay addressed the media after practice to inform them of what happened to Verse’s knee and why he was helped off of the practice field.
Considered by most to be the best rookie edge rusher in the NFL in 2024, and by others to be the best young pass rusher in the league period, Verse is poised for a breakout season in 2025. He has said that he expects to get to double-digit sacks for the first time and former NFL offensive tackle Terron Armstead has praised Verse as one of the most gifted players he had to block last season, period. Verse is noted for having arguably the best bull rush in the league today.
Stay tuned for more updates on the severity of the injury once McVay and the team has more imformation.
